Alice
Stitelman, Ph.D., has headed her own training and communications
consulting firm, Stitelman Associates, for twenty years. She specializes
in teaching comprehensive writing programs that reduce management
time, improve management decisions, and persuade readers to take
action. She also specializes in developing customized training
programs, improving job performance for many Fortune 500 corporations.
An expert in helping technical
professionals and managers communicate more powerfully, Alice
consults to a wide range of organizations throughout the United
States, Asia, and Europe. Her clients include manufacturing facilities,
computer firms, market research companies, insurance companies,
accounting firms, consumer products companies, and government
agencies. Her client list includes such notable organizations
as ITT, Pitney Bowes, and ACNielsen.
Dr. Stitelman earned her
doctorate in English from the University of Connecticut. A professional
writer and educator, Alice is the author of educational software
on English grammar, an article on proposal writing, and a book
on the training process--Trainer's Resource Manual (McGraw-Hill).
She has also written the full gamut of business documents for
clients--everything from reports and proposals, to technical documentation,
business plans, and marketing materials. Her experience as a business
writer has helped her truly understand the special demands of
business communication.
Alice has been a featured
speaker at professional meetings for the Institute of Industrial
Engineers; the American Society of Mechanical Engineers; the American
Society for Quality; the Educational Society for Resource Management,
the Society for Technical Communication; and the American Society
of Training and Development.
